CrowdTilt fundraiser

We truly appreciate all of the support for our CrowdTilt fundraiser and matching campaign! We are over half way to our "tilt" amount of $2,500, which is fantastic! However, if we don't reach $2,500 by Jan. 5th, we don't receive any of our pledges. We are grateful for the donations that we received through our website via PayPal and they will be matched as part of our campaign. However, they will not count toward our CrowdTilt minimum. Double your donation to Lily's Playground!

Thanks for your support of Lily's Playground! We are excited that we have raised approximately $42,000 to date with pledges for an additional $8,000 to bring our total to approximately $50,000 toward our goal of $79,000. We have received a generous offer from an anonymous donor to match up to $20,000 in personal donations! We have set up a CrowdTilt campaign to take advantage of this matching campaign. In order to receive our pledges, we have to raise at least $2,500 by January 5th. If we raise $20,000, it will double to $40,000 and we will meet exceed our goal and Lily's Playground will become a reality in early 2014! All donations are tax deductible. Events today!

Today the NRV Mall is having its annual Fall Festival for the police department from 11-3 in the mall parking lot. They will have bouncy toys, pumpkin painting, hay rides, entertainment, food vendors, etc. I will be there representing Lily's Playground. Stop by to say hello if you decide to come out.

Also, from 11am-4pm, Paint n Fun is donating all proceeds from sales towards Lily's Playground. It is really fun to paint a little something with the kids. They provide everything you need, including aprons.

Blacksburg Jr. Women's Club is hosting a fundraising event for Lily's Playground. The event is a purse auction, which will feature a variety of fabulous purses containing fun "surprise" items up for bid via silent auction. Food, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided (one alcoholic drink ticket included with ticket purchase; cash bar available). Photography Fundraiser

Kristina Rose Photography will be providing photography mini-sessions as a fundraiser for Lily's Playground. The sessions will take place on Aug. 11th, 16th, and 18th at the VT Horticulture Gardens. The $50 cost includes a 10 minute professional photo session and 3-10 professionally edited photos on a CD with copyright privileges. Successful fundraisers

Lily's Playground has benefitted from two successful fundraisers recently to bring our total to nearly $15,000! The Kollmorgen Golf Tournament, as detailed in the link, raised approximately $2,700 for our cause. The Hillcrest Drive yard sale raised over $2,400. Thanks to all of you who supported this great cause through these events!

Benefit Yard Sale for Lily's Playground

The Robertsons' neighborhood is sponsoring a community yard sale to raise money for Lily's Playground. Please come out on Saturday, June 29th from 8:00 am-12:00 noon on Hillcrest Drive in Christiansburg. From N. Franklin St, turn onto Depot Street by Pizza Inn. Go through the stop light and make a right onto Hillcrest Drive (behind the Bright Services building). Look for pink balloons on the mailboxes for participating houses. All proceeds will benefit the play area. Spread the word!

Playground fundraising and planning meeting

Thanks to everyone for your support for Lily's Playground! We are so excited with our fundraising progress so far and are so thankful for the generosity of all of our supporters! Playground Details

We are so excited about our future playground! It will be a 20'x30' play area in the New River Valley Mall, just outside of JCPenney and Children's Place. It will feature a Woodland theme to match the beautiful mountains that surround us with a tree slide/tunnel, bridge, bunny, turtle, flower, and butterfly. The area will be fully enclosed with shoe cubbies, seating, play panels, and themed carpet. This play area will be a lasting tribute to sweet Lily and we need your help to make it happen!
